yesterday i shot this with what i believe is my first camera phone, i never had a camer phone before, well it was supposed to be “don’t open boxes” it’s in a very huge store in Alexandria, i believe the biggest in the toys section
it’s about doing our job right.
my phone had GPS navigation, it was taking the weirdest map routes, i decided to find out how was the algorithm was working and see how each option affects it and gues what i found out
this is the end of “Share3 el mosheer” in “Sidi Gaber” there’s no link between that road and Abouqir road, so the latest OVI maps application would instruct me to drive to el Ibrahimia before returning to this spot where actually there’s no road to do that
this is another shot without the route
i believe that some genius guy from el mesa7a in Egypt has decided that this line is unnecessary
even when it’s pouring rain i really really do miss Alexandria, a couple of days ago i took this shot from my brother’s car it’s amazingly raining, last year it rained very little one time in hurghada and everyone was talking about it…
i also remember my first winter in Cairo, i remember i specific day it was a Thursday i wanted to catch the train back to alexandria and people in my building were standing on the building glass door and not moving i understood that they were standing and i had to ask everyone on the way to move so i can pass when i got out of the building it was very little rain i looked at them with an open mouth…
is this it??
anyway when its raining ur wearing three layers and the inner most layer is soaking wet from the rain
we don’t have snow in Alexandria but everyone gets very excited when it rains small ice balls that are like pebbles coming from the sky, they melt within seconds from touching the objects on the ground, but it’s still is part of the uniqueness of alexandria
Yesterday me and a few friends attended “El Refaq” Xmas carols concert in Alexandria, after spending 3 years between Cairo and hurghada i am enjoying the things i missed
like this , leaving u with highlights of the concert
update : they sang in English, French, German, Latin, Arabic and lebanese
sorry couldn’t sleep without saying this
walking by the sea in alexandria is always a fun thing to do, today is sham el nessim woke up late and had a shower, then went out for a walk there’s a spot that i always like to sit there for hours
but as today is sham el nessim there’s a hell lot of people that have thought same as i did and i went there to find this, being there i decided to go check up on starbucks they’re opening in San Stefano mall facing the sea
they didn’t open yet that was weird for me cuz i expected that they’d be open by Easter anyway there was a lot of activity there so i went and asked the guy if they had wireless connection available there and he said yes sure we’ll be open tomorrow morning @ 6am i really did like his spirit the guy was very excited about opening it looked like a bee hive everyone is doing something over there.
i am now in cilantro waiting for michael WALLA YA MICHAEL
just got home from a nice outing with my friends earlier this night i met my college friends they’re all married “ya 3eeny” they were dressed in suits and they looked @least 10 years older than their real ages (that reunion thing with suits turned into little ceaser as it’s the only place with empty tables)
it was fun to have a reunion of course that didn’t last for long they had to go home early that’s ok
@ 10 pm i called my cool single friends in, who i discovered were staying in this cooool café in city center called “le mondo” the cafe is nice it’s designed to be on the second floor of a cars agency and using the same décor we stayed their talked and enjoyed the drinks
it was 1 am already so we decided to leave the café and go home it was late; But just across the street Tamer Basha Hosny was having a concert and cars were barely moving
the traffic was stopped and the cars filled the whole parking of Carrefour City Center we still manages to go home, there was a micro bus that had an idea to get use of the need and drove people through a road that is not used
the new governor of alexandria is searching for the long lost Tomb of Alexander the great
this is a joke that is being passed around as the new governor has decided to rebuild all sidewalks in alexandria and this process has been undergoing for months since he became governor, really if this doesn’t turn out to be a real good job people won’t just miss “El Ma7gob” the previous governor of alex (who restored the lost beauty of the ancient city) but they also would curse the new guy when they see him in the streets
i hope this ends soon this picture i took is in front of building in alex (zizenya district)
just in case you don’t know he’s the great roman conquerer and founder of Alexandria - his tomb location is still a mystery and is believed to contain a lot of treasures
